Japanese nuclear reactor leak fallout approaches Chernobyl levels..continues.​​.

Austrian researchers have used a worldwide network of radiation detectors – designed to spot clandestine nuclear bomb tests – to show that iodine-131 is being released at daily levels 73 per cent of those seen after the 1986 disaster. The daily amount of caesium-137 released from Fukushima Daiichi is around 60 per cent of the amount released from Chernobyl.

DoJ to Drop All Charges Against Former Sen. Ted Stevens

NPR has learned that the Justice Department will drop all charges against former U.S. Senator Ted Stevens of Alaska. According to DoJ officials, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder has decided to drop the case against Stevens rather than continue to defend the conviction in the face of persistent problems stemming from the actions of prosecutors.
